BEYOND SINT-AGNES

We live in a world where everything is experienced through sight. People who have limited sight, have learned to "see" with their other senses: smell, touch, taste and sound. In doing so, they often see "better" than we do and establish a deeper connection with their spatial environment – unlike sighted people who perceive their surroundings through quick glances only, without finding the deeper beauty through their other senses. Inspired by visually impaired people, who teach us to experience more, we created this sensory exhibition in the beguine Church of Sint-Truiden. A visually beautiful church, where beauty stretches out beyond the eye’s perception, beyond Sint-Agnes.
