OUDAAN STUDENT HOUSES

De Oudaan is an old administration building in Antwerp designed by Renaat Braem. In this building I created a student hotel. An interesting fact is that the building is perfectly in balance with the sun. This fact served as the guideline for my design. 

 

The project consists of student housing that tries to transcend the purely functional. It creates a homely atmosphere for the residents.  There are workshops, mindfulness sessions, outdoor games, communal eateries, a party space and relaxation rooms.
